To trim right end in the Chromatogram Editor select the previous symbol before trimming part and use Ctrl+Shift+Del or Edit–>Trim right end context menu for switching the edit mode on.
After that the edit mode is switched off.
You always can cancel the changes pressing Ctrl+Z.
