UGENE delivery type on macOS is a DMG installer. There are two options: online installer and offline installer.
Current UGENE version is available for operating system version 10.7 or higher. Old UGENE packages are also provided for earlier OS versions.
It may be required to configure macOS settings to install UGENE. Select "System Preferences -> Security & Privacy",
To install UGENE on macOS you can use installation package or Disk image file:
- Launch the universal installer package and follow the Unipro Setup wizard.
- Also you can launch *.dmg file and accept the GNU license agreement. The following window will appear:
- To start UGENE click on the ugeneui icon. You can also copy UGENE to the Applications folder by dragging it.
